If you’ve ever dreamed about soaring through the air with the wind in your hair and a forest canopy rushing under you, ziplining is the ideal adventure. However, for first-timers, the experience can be both exciting and nerve-racking. With that in mind, here are some essential tips to help you make the most of your first adventures with zip lines.

Zip Lines: Tips for First Timers

  • Dress Comfortably and Safely: Wear comfortable, close-fitting clothing that will not catch on the equipment. Avoid wearing scarves, loose jackets, and dangling jewelry. Closed-toe shoes with a firm grip, such as sneakers or hiking boots, are essential.
  • Pay Careful Attention to Your Guides: Your guides are qualified specialists who value safety above all else. Pay close attention throughout the safety briefing and do not hesitate to ask questions. Knowing how to brake and position your body will make the ride more comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Check Your Gear: Before you take off, make sure your helmet and harness are properly fit. A close fit provides both comfort and safety. If in doubt, ask your guide to double-check everything before taking off on our zip lines.
  • Unwind and Enjoy the View: It’s normal to be nervous before your first ride but remember to breathe and take in the landscape. Our zip lines offer breathtaking views that you won’t want to miss out on by closing your eyes.
  • Start Small: We have 10 different ziplines, ranging from 100 to 1,000 feet. If you are nervous, start out on our smaller lines until you gain more confidence.
